Description
On my first trip to Australia, we stayed at "Ptilornis" B&B for birders, run by Hans & Judy Beste. The offer fresh eggs for breakfast. This particular morning, Hans went to get the eggs and caught this nearly 2m python in the chicken coop (the 2d photo shows Hans holding it). He put it in a burlap bag and the 3 of us later released it in a wilderness area some distance away. As I recall (some 40 years later), breakfast was very good. [photos digitized from slide; Chris Spooner in background of 2d shot]. Back then, this was lumped with Amethystine Python
